Welcome to Bluelab's video on how to calibrate and clean the Bluelab ppM pen. Remove ppM
pen from package. turn your Bluelab ppM button on by pressing the power button. This pen
has back-lit LCD display and has a hold reading function for easier reading. One short press
of the ON/OFF button to make it hold, and once again to take it off again. Your Bluelab
ppM pen has a units button that gives you the ability to change your meter to the settings
you prefer by holding down the units button until the screen starts to flash, then short
press the units button to cylce through your settings. You can change it to read EC, to
ppM 500, or ppM 700. You can also change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. To clean your
pen, use Bluelab conductivity cleaning solution. Remove the shroud, clean the face of the probe,
and remove all traces of soap under running water. If really dirty, this step may need
to be repeated. Calibrating your ppM pen: only use Bluelab calibration solution to make
sure your pen is calibrated correctly. Set your pen to EC. Place your pen in Bluelab
2.77 calibration solution. Wait until the reading stops moving. This may take a minute
or two. Press the CAL button down on the pen while it's in the solution and wait until
it says CAL on the screen. You know you have a successful calibration when the checkmark
appears on the screen. Now you are calibrated and ready to use. The checkmark will disappear
after 30 days, which means it's time to clean and calibrate your ppM pen. We at Bluelab
