Hi, I'm Laurel, the fashion expert. Today we're going to talk about drawing shoes. Shoes
are in a central part of your collection, and the first category that we are going to
do is going to be platforms. And our first style of platform will be the open toe platform
slingback, and its name is derived from, first of all, the platform being the sole, open
toed being where your toes are visible, and the slingback meaning your heel is going to
be visible, and it slings around the back of your foot. So, I am now going to show you
how to draw that and what steps you need to take. The first thing that I do, personally,
is I outline the bottom of the foot when creating a platform, so I have a base for my sole.
Then I decide how tall I want my platform to be, and I create it. I start from one side
and I go to the other side and balance it out. And again, you're going to end up copying
this over and over and over again until you make it perfect. So your initial drawing isn't
going to be very good, but you're going to retrace and retrace and keep going until you
have something you like. And then work your way up from the bottom, and then add if you
want a bow or whatever it is that you want, and then you have the basis for your design.
