My iPhone is stuck on the apple logo. How do I fix that?
It sounds like the phone is stuck.
How do I get it unstuck? While I like Apple, the logo is getting annoying.
You might be able to reset it by holding down the top and bottom buttons at the same time
for about ten seconds. If holding the hold and home buttons simultaneously doesn’t
work when the phone is off, power it up and try again.
That’s just trying to get it into DFU mode.
If you’re lucky, that will generate a notice that iPhone is in Recovery mode. It will then
let you move to iTunes to restore it.
That’s on the assumption that I can connect to iTunes and select to restore it.
If the phone can’t get past the bootloader, the Apple logo, to get to iTunes, you’ll
have to go to the Apple Genius bar to fix it.
I’d hate to go back to the store to fix it right after I got it.
If the phone is still under warranty, you could get a new phone. As long as you didn’t
jail break it, causing the problem.
What’s wrong with jailbreaking?
It voids your warranty. And Apple might have put the apple.mobile.house.arrest on the phone
because they caught the jailbreaking, while you were on a Safari browser surfing the web.
So Apple might have broken my phone.
In their eyes, you broke it first.
What if the home and power buttons don’t work?
Hold home and power buttons for about 15 seconds before hitting the volume + button to try
to get it into safe mode.
This feels like I’m trying to restart my car on a lower battery.
Make sure you’re trying to put it in safe mode on a full battery or while on the charger.
A dead phone won’t work right.
If that doesn’t work, it will be dead. Destined for recycling.
