Hello. Today I will try something new. I am going to bake peanut butter cookies today.
Actually, this is not new for me. I bake them quite often, but this is the first time that I am going to upload it to YouTube.
The ingredients that we need today are: shortening,
peanut butter,
sugar,
brown sugar,
the egg,
the flour,
baking powder & baking soda,
and salt.
Actually we have two things that are called "Backpulver" in German.
We say "baking powder" and "baking soda" in English. There is a difference, but it is complicated.
There is more information under the video.
Sometimes you see people who have already measured everything out, but no one actually cooks like that.
No one measures something and then puts it into another bowl.
It looks prettier, but then you have to do more dishes.
I'm an American. I don't want to do the dishes. I am lazy.
I only bake with the things that I need. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Sometimes people also say that one must first mix some things and then you can mix the other things, but I don't believe that.
Baking should be easy. Baking is easy.
You mix these ingredients, make balls out of it and press the balls down with a fork.
Then the cookies are baked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius).
Then one can eat them. With coffee they tast much better.
Hopefully, if she wants to, Sophia will help me with the baking.
She didn't help me with the baking, but she will surely help me with the eating.
Hey. Sophia. Do you want to try a piece?
Does it taste good? Hmm? Does it taste good?
I think that is a "yes".
Say, "Bye". Say, "Bye".
Bye. Thanks, Sophia.
