(Soothing Music)
Join me in this breath practice.
Sit comfortably in a chair or a blanket.
Transition yourself to the oceanfront.
Breathe in through the nose.
Close your eyes.
Relax your facial features as you exhale.
On the next inhalation,
draw the belly button up and into the spine.
Lengthen through the crown of the head.
The exhalation feels strong through the back body, the shoulder blades,
even the backs of the upper arms. Feel like you are sitting up tall.
Inhales lengthening through the front body.
Exhales strengthen, secure the back body.
The breath is like the waves of the ocean.
Take a nice big inhalation. Breathe the water in towards you.
Pause at the top of the breath.
Feel the collar bones spread, fill with air.
Then exhale.
Feel strength in the back body
as the waves go back into the ocean.
And then, with the rhythm of the water, inhale, bringing the water towards you.
Filling yourself with air, pause.
And then the exhalation.
Releasing stress. Feeling strength.
Softening the body.
Feel free to continue this breath
for as long as you wish. Thank you for practicing with me.
