It's been 10 days since Gustavo's postoperative began,
he underwent an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction,
the surgery occurred through his patellar tendon,
and now he's satisfactorily recovering by doing physiotherapy.
Following our initial goals,
we drained the intra-articular effusion,
which is the result of the postoperative process,
we're already achieving a better movement,
both his knee extension and flexion.
We're increasing his muscle strength...
applying isometric exercises...
and electrical stimulation current.
I was in pain in the beginning,
It hurts a lot,
but it's gone,
now my knee hurts when I try to flex it,
but everyone in here is very capable,
I really trust their work,
and, God willing, everything will be alright.
That kind of motivation is really nice.
Edu Dracena's been through this situation before,
of course we wish he hadn't,
but they are improving,
it's been two months since Dracena's postoperative period began,
and we can clearly see that the physiotherapy...
is promoting a gradual improvement.
We're always joking around,
seeking, by the end of the treatment,
a positive result in every postoperative process.
We're currently treating three knee patients,
and we usually joke around saying that soon enough...
they'll be playing on the field.
I try to pass on some of my experiences,
it's normal to be in doubt, to have questions,
if everything will be fine or not.
Medicine has proven to be extremely advanced,
especially the professionals who work at CEPRAF,
they're very good professionals.
I'm sure that due to his dedication to the treatment...
he'll be back better than before.
He's been giving me a lot of support,
telling me not to be sad, to have faith in God,
and I'm quite sure God knows what he does.
It happened during a silly play,
I didn't want this to happen,
but it happened, now let's move forward...
in order to recover as soon as possible.
There's a method that we follow,
but always respecting the surgical procedure...
and the medical evaluations that are periodically carried out.
It takes from 3 to 4 months for them to go back to the field,
and from 6 to 8 months for them to play again,
assuring their safety.
I'd like to say thanks to everyone who messaged me,
and to say that soon enough I'll be back playing,
defending my team with everything I've got.
Thanks!
