This is my name Prashanta Aryal. Its part of what identifies me, and it actually does
reveal a little bit about me. Starting with the fact that I'm not from around here. If
I wanted to show you even more about who I am. I could create a logo, some visual mark
that signifies who I am. But a name isn't a brand, and a logo isn't one either. A brand
is about what you represent. What you would die fighting for. And what makes you different
than anybody else. My brand isn't just one sided. There are three things that come together
to make me me. First Im a learner. Back in Nepal where I grew up, people go to great
lengths to get an education. So learning is in my blood. I love to learn and I'm always
diving headlong to any subject that draws me in. Whether it's business supply chains,
electronics, science, history, or fly fishing or guitar. I know a little about a lot of
things, and a lot about a few things too. But no matter how much I know it only makes
me want to know more. Second, I'm an explorer. As a first generation immigrant, I'm still
discovering new things about this country. I love maps, I'm obsessed with figuring out
how to navigate routes and timetables. Stories, cultures, current events, how things and people
are connected, exploration is a huge part of who I am as a human being. And last I'm
a fan, I have an unabashed passion for the ideas, brands, and organizations I love. And
I'll boldly stand up for them no matter what. I'm also an optimist and a fan for the future
and where the world is headed, with sustainability, global innovation, and exchange of ideas.
I have a loyalty to the things I care about, and the places I connect with. That's why
I want to come to Leeds. CU is my alma mater and I look for to the day I'll get to study
there once again. My name is Prashanta Aryal and this is my brand. I hope its one you see
as a valuable addition to the Leeds community. As it would be an honor to be your next MBA
candidate.
