The Language Learning Center at Mt. San Antonio College serves students who want to study
for their language classes, learners striving to improve their communication in another
language, and community members wanting to refresh language skills for work or for travel.
We have numerous software, DVDs, audios, books and other materials available for study in
American Language, Arabic, Chinese, English as a Second Language, French, German, Italian,
Japanese, Sign Language, and Spanish.
We have a wealth of materials. Audio, video, software available for all of the languages
that we teach here at Mt. San Antonio College.
There’s a lot of resources here that are available to, you know, any student in any
language, you know.
Rosetta Stone is a great software you can use. It helps you learn new vocabulary, you
can talk, and it helps me a lot to speak.
That’s the one big thing that I see in my students is that the ones who come and practice,
really, really have more confidence and get better grades. I can almost say that students
who come don’t fail.
All the staff in the Language Lab, they are all very helpful, so don’t feel that you
will be intimidated by the machine. If you don’t know anything, just raise your hand,
use the red cup, they will be right there for you and then step by step to teach you
how to use that.
The Language Lab is totally rock!
I can definitely say it helped us learn the language very well so we are able to use it
now at work or wherever we need to. And, we’re both getting A’s in the class.
We have accessible materials and equipment for those with special hearing or reading
needs.
We provide a comfortable learning environment where students can work on all the communication
skills -- listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation.
We are located in building 6, behind the Library. Use the south entrance and go up the stairs
to room 264.
We are open during Fall and Spring semesters Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm,
Fridays 8 to 2, and Saturdays 9 to 2. We are always closed during Finals Week. Please check
on our website for Winter and Summer hours.
Go online to llc.mtsac.edu to find information regarding hours, resources, helpful handouts
and the Student Login for access to materials available for your class.
Each semester you use the LLC, you need to register; it’s free. Then, each time you
come, you must swipe your Mt. SAC student ID card to check in and check out. This will
allow you and your professor to keep track of your LLC attendance.
We want you to have a great experience studying your language in the LLC, so don’t hesitate
to ask our friendly staff for assistance.
