Hello and welcome to my first makeup tutorial.
People often ask how I do my lolita makeup -
- therefore I want to start with a very simple tutorial.
It's a makeup that everybody can do,
it doesn't take long to do,
and it can be used for a lot more than just lolita.
I'm already wearing foundation, concealer, powder and mascara -
- just to make clear that that's all I'm wearing right now.
Next step is adding eyeshadow. I choose the light brown color.
It's a bit shiny and very cute.
I start by putting it over the entire eye.
I also add a bit out on the edges, along the bottom.
It makes you look less tired and adds a nice shape to your eye.
Then I add white eyeshadow -
- this one is also a bit shiny.
I put it just under the eyebrow, and make it follow my eyebrows.
I add a thick layer -
- so it's a bit exaggerated, as you can see.
Then I take a blendpen which I use to blend the eyeshadow -
- and then I blend the colors a bit more.
This gives a much smoother transition.
I also add a bit in the corner of the eye -
- this also hides any tired signs -
- and of course also makes your eyes look bigger.
I also blend the colors here.
Then I put eyeliner on the top and bottom, to define the eye -
- I use a liquid eyeliner -
- because experience tells me that normal eyeliners fades but liquid eyeliners stays on all day long.
I only add the liquid eyeliner on my eyelid.
When you do eyeliner on your eyelid always make sure to point the stroke a bit upwards -
- 'cause if you don't you might end up looking tired or old.
I do the same on my other eye.
Now I'm done doing the upper eyeliner and the next step is to encircle the bottom of your eye with a pencil eyeliner.
I only do it halfway since it gives my eye a good shape; remember that our eyes aren't the same, so this might not work for you.
I use a pencil eyeliner for the bottom of my eye because I like the smudged and soft look it gives.
That was the eyeliner. It's already looking a lot better!
I use a white eyeliner in the corner of the eye to make my eyes look even bigger.
I add it from the corner of my eye to where the black eyeliner starts.
I smudge it a bit to make the liner look softer.
You don't have to smudge it, though. I just like this better with my eye shape.
Try and find out what suits your eyes!
Then I add blush.
Finally, I put lip gloss on.
And voila - the makeup is done!
You could always add fake eyelashes - that's what I'm gonna do now.
These lashes are from BodyLine and the quality is good - plus they're super cheap!
I've used these lashes about 7-8 times and they're still like new.
Now I'm going to put them on.
The difference is big compared to my natural lashes!
I put on mascara to stick the fake lashes with my own.
You could also add under-lashes, but I'm too lazy to do that.
Now I'm going to add a pair of contact lenses. Some of my favorite circle lenses.
This also requires a lot of practice. You should just keep on practicing, every thing's hard in the beginning!
The same goes for fake eyelashes and the rest of the makeup - they more you do it the easier it becomes to do!
Done!
That's it for my makeup tutorial. I hope you can use it, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask them.
Thanks a lot for looking! Bye bye~
