Do bodybuilders take fat burners? I’ve heard everything from of course they do to look
that way to never because it ruins their workouts.
Fat burners is a label for a variety of products.

Some of them are diuretics, which actually cause you to lose water that you gain back
later. Body builders may take diuretics to qualify for a weight class or improve muscle
definition before competition.
I’ve heard that some body builders take stimulant body builders.
Rarely. It suppresses your appetite, but it ups your heart rate and blood pressure, which
isn’t healthy.
Fat burners increase your energy level.
You get the same boost from coffee, without risking your heart health. In fact, coffee
fights dementia, too.
I’m slow enough without it. Fat burners are supposed to increase your caloric burn
rate.
Building your muscles up increases your metabolic rate, too. And once you start getting more
muscle mass, there is no need for fat burners to burn fat.
Running is an all natural fat burner.
Working out is a natural fat burner once you are burning more calories than you take in.
If you burn 4K and eat 5K, working out or taking fat burners won’t make you lose weight.
Do fat burners at least give weight loss a boost?
They could if it helps you control your appetite. Losing weight makes you very hungry, since
your body tries to return to its old weight.
I’ve heard of the body weight thermostat. It assumes losing weight is horrible.
That’s why you don’t want to go up 40 pounds and stay there for a while, because
your body then resets its set point.
Then fat burners do help.
The danger is taking them for a long time, because it isn’t good for your health. And
taking more than the recommended dose is down right dangerous.
You lose too much weight.
You over-stimulate your nervous system and have palpitations, cardiac arrest or seizures.
When I said I want a body to die for, I never meant anything so literal.
