JOHN SEXTON: Hitman: Blood Money is a registered trademark of IO Interactive, a company with
which I have no affiliation. So this tool tip says "Use the Gangster as a Human Shield"
and the way to do that is you have to have a one handed weapon arm. It doesn't have to
be a pistol but it's gotta be one handed weapon. So we'll pull out our pistol and approach
this gangster from behind as he's going to the bathroom, and you'll see that our human
shield appears as an option on the A button, so we can take him hostage like this. And
now, we can still shoot but we've got the gangster as human shield so his buddies see
that we've got him, but they're going to shoot because they don't want to kill their buddy,
so we can kill them. Of course, if we shoot at them, they will fire back, and then, you
can press the trigger to--or you can press the A button to knock out the victim. Once
you've got somebody as a human shield, you can press "A" and knock them out. Now, he's
not dead so that won't count against my kill count at the end of the level. It will count
against my knocked out count and that feeds into your rating. You get rated as a--how
effective and how silent of a hitman you were, and the better your rating, the more money
you get, and then, you can use that money to buy upgrades for your weapons, which make
the later levels easier. So the name of the game is "Blood Money" both, literally and
metaphorically, so the better job you do as a hitman, the more money you get, which means
you can get better weapons, which means you can do a better job in your subsequent missions.
