There was a meeting supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
When the leader announced that everyone was leaving, a group of Pro-Russians came at us.
Other guys and I tried to protect the women, protect the peaceful people, protect the stage, protect the equipment.
We were like a shield. There were many times more of them than us.
They surrounded us and started throwing stones and all sorts of things. They were spraying us with mace
My face was burning from gas, and I got into a police bus. A group of us stuffed in. They broke the windows...
- (off-camera) So you were hiding in there?
In fact, yes. But in reality it was a trap.
Because they broke the glass and through the the windows, they were spraying mace and throwing explosives.
But the explosives weren't bad. The mace was though. In the end we left the bus.
The police made a ring around us to protect us from the aggressors.
- (off-camera) Why didn't they surround the bus within 5 hours that you were in there?

The aggressors were trying to break through the police,
but I can say, in my opinion, that the police responded to the situation quite well.
They screamed for us to get on our knees. But we didn't get on our knees.
In the end the police came and asked us toget on our knees, but we didn't listen
After that, the police formed a corridor and everyone started to run. You couldn't recognize who is where.
The two crowds, the aggressive one of pro-Russians and the ones for Ukrainian integrity. Everything mixed up together.
Everyone was running somewhere. It was chaos. I don't know. That kind of situation.
How many injured have you seen here?
I don't know, but while they were putting bandages on me, there were probably seven other people,
guys whose faces were beaten very badly and who were covered in blood.
When you said, "We were trying to protect the women," did you mean just ordinary people or were you prepared?
How were we prepared? I'm in dress shoes, forgive me.
- (off-camera): Those are blood stains? - Yeah, there are some blood and egg stains.
In fact, I had just come from work. And that's it. How were we prepared? I
