Okay this drill is called the diagonal drill and we're doing it on the forehand side, and
the camera's going to focus on the front court player. But how this drill works is in squash
you want to maintain the T. So this drill, when you're in the back court you have an
option of hitting a straight drive forehand or a boast. The option of hitting the boast
is what's going to force the other player back to the T and the player whose turn it
is to receive has the option when they're in the front court of hitting a cross-court,
backhand or a straight drive. So every ball has to come back to this corner, and so let's
demonstrate and see how we do with this. So I hit a straight drive and Gary hits a boast.
Good shot Gary. That's a tough shot. So I recovered the T and now I hit a good length
and Gary hits a boast. Now you put up a lob and make sure he's not cheating. Get him back
to the T, but he hits a pretty good shot. Okay. So that's the diagonal game front court.
It's a really great drill to work on your strokes and it's a good workout, but it's
not as tiring as a full game. So do this drill and you'll see a great improvement.
