In ecology news, the Nigerian state of Edo plans to seed a million trees per year to
mitigate the effects of global warming. Forty thousand trees have already been planted in
forest reserves. In addition, a 60,000 capacity nursery has been established to help ensure
that there is a sufficient supply of seedlings. The project is being supported by the Spanish
organization Bernadette Strebel World Peace Association, as part of their Trees for Peace
program.
Our hats off to you, Edo government and Bernadette Strebel World Peace Association, for your
Earth-loving collaboration. May green projects such as this be combined with the low-emissions
plant-based diet for a bright future for all
