Hi, I am Michael Kawczynski Project Manager and Diversity Specialist
for: The U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Office of
Human Resources in Washington DC. I am here today at: The U.S
Food and Drug Administration's White Oak Campus in Silver Spring
Maryland to tell you about our upcoming Live Virtual Hiring Event
that will be broadcast on Thursday November 3rd 2011 at 9 am, 12
pm, and 3 pm Eastern standard time.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is honored that
the Food and Drug Administration has chosen to host our first Virtual
Hiring Event, targeting Veterans and People with Disabilities.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is one of the 12 agencies
within HHS. FDA consists of six product centers, one research center,
and offices throughout the nation and the world. Their mission is
to promote and protect the public's health, by assuring the safety
efficacy and security of the many products it regulates.
HHS and its operating divisions are making every effort to improve
on our outreach, recruiting, training and hiring, reaching a broader
audience throughout the nation and the world. Utilizing technology
such as Adobe Connect we hope to provide you the participant, a
real live glimpse of what it's like to work at HHS and FDA.
On Thursday November 3rd we graciously invite all Veterans and
People with Disabilities to join us for this inaugural event. Through
your participation, you will get a chance to meet some of our
wonderful staff, learn firsthand about working at HHS and FDA. We
will discuss the positions available at HHS and FDA that are located
throughout the nation. Our staff will walk you through the new
version of USAJOBS, and show you how to search, determine the
position qualifications, develop your Federal resume, and how to
apply for open positions throughout HHS.
We want to take a moment to thank some of the partner
organizations who work tirelessly to support their clients and assist
us in making these events a success: the Vocational Rehabilitation
offices and Career One Stop Centers found nationwide, the Veterans
Administration, Wounded Warriors, and many other organizations,
who are reaching out and assisting candidates directly. Without their
efforts, none of this would be possible.
We look forward to seeing you at our Virtual Hiring Event being held
on Thursday November 3, 2011. For additional information and to
register for 1 of the available time slots please see the information
found within our event flyer, or go to www.FDA.Gov/HiringEvent
