Alright, so it's that time a year again, and we get our cartoon movies
Our Happy holiday themes and that's all coming out
Except for this year. This year this is all we got
On to what I started to say, this is our only holiday themed and only cartoon
that is going t come out for this holiday season. So I mean this one has a lot of weight on its shoulders
Unlike last year, I think we had the Muppets come out around this time; Arthur Christmas
So there's a few things that came out this time last year, those were really only the cartoon ones.
There were other family themes that came out at the same time too. This year this lis literally all we have
So I'll start on story, it's a pretty basic, pretty simple story. You watch the trailer and it makes perfect sense
The main guy in the movie is actually Jack Frost despite the fact that he's teaming with
Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy & the Sandman
So basically those childhood fairy tales and stories are all teaming together to take down the Boogeyman
Simple idea; the Boogeyman wants t be believed in and he wants things to go back to the dark ages
The basic morale and premise behind te movie is backed behind Jack Frost, who's not actually part of the Big 4
He becomes centerally focused because he was chosen to defeat Pitch Black/Boogeyma
As he's trying to mass his Nightmare army
Out there there's a lot of reference to this being the Avengers for cartoon movies.
The Avengers is a lot more action packed, and to that regard. If that's what you think when they say "Avengers Themed" it's not like that
It that they're trying to do a lot with what they have. Each one of these icons have a lot of story and backdrop behind them
As we know each character, Santa, the Easter Bunny have a lot of story to them.
Some like Jack Frost, like Toth Fairy, they touch more on ad give more backdrop on these characters.
It dosen't ruin the movie, it actually enhances the movie. I think it does a good job at giving us more
Other than Nipping on our nose, what does Jack Frost really do?
Same with the Tooth Fairy, what's her science behind picking up teeth
Parents and childern will, I think, really enjoy with what they say and do with that.
I'll get into what kind of age is expected to go to this, as a cartoon movie I do like to touch that
At times there are darker pieces to it. They do have Boogeyman do some spook scares in the movie
Not like a horror movie, but for kids it would be scary. What I would relate this to is what they did back in te 90's
Which I'm more familiar with. The Likes of Cruella Deville in Disney movies like that
I feel theytouched on that kind of magic. As, yes Cruella Deville was evil and scary for a kid
But the rest of the surrounding movie is happy and light harted. I think they did a good job with that mesh that Disney perfected in the 90's
They bring it to light here, with the new CGI
So for parents that are going, I touched on kids, now for parents. Or Adults
It's still enjoyable for adults. It's still a movie that I would watch again.
As I don't have any kids, so if I'm going to watch it it's by myself
The things they do with your old tales, like Santa, which they give a Russian Cossack accent
Which I didn't know that they were going to do the (In Russian) Russian accent
They give him that accent, something for the parents to enjoy.
The Easter Bunnt being Hugh Jackman, being a kangaroo style Easter Bunny, that's enjoyable
Ther's a few extra scenes, that I can't think of right now, but parents were laughing, and I was laughing
I think for these reasons it's stll enjoyable for parents
Rating time, and I'm going to give this one a pretty good rating, like I've been saying
So this one gets a 3 / 5 Snowglobes. On to the next review.
Oh that was horrible...
That was a horrible Russian accent
Sean Connory is better, I'm doing better at that
