In this video we will present how easy it is to create a hole inside of the complex roof,
and how quickly we can create an atrium.
First let’s see how to create holes in the roof.
Let’s open the 3D window and select the roof.
Let’s activate the roof tool and draw a new contour within its boundaries.
The new contour will be interpreted as a hole in the Roof.
There is another way to create a hole in a Roof. For this let’s select the Roof in the floor-plan view.
Let’s click the contour polygon, bring up the pet palette and activate the “Subtract from Polygon” command.
Let’s draw the hole in the roof
and switch to the 3D window to see the result.
The middle of the complex roof has been removed according to the subtraction.
Let’s see now how we can create an atrium.
Let’s select the Roof again.
Let’s click the pivot polygon now.
On the appearing pet palette let’s activate the “Subtract from Polygon” command.
Let’s draw the same polygon inside of the roof as before.
As we can see we have created an Atrium.
See the result in the 3D window as well.
Using the new Complex Roof we can quickly create an atrium without difficult editing.
