Is the Playstation 4 worth the money?
It is about $100 less than the Xbox One. In that regard, it is a good deal.
But is the Playstation 4 better than some of the cheaper gaming stations? Is it worth
the cost to upgrade from a Playstation 3?
It is worth the $400 to upgrade from a PS3. You get 32 times the Ram, excellent graphics
with almost no lag and better controllers.
Four hundred is still a lot of money.
If you do a lot of online gaming, the PS4 is worth it because you get free online play.
For that much money, is it worth $100 more to get an Xbox One?
At least with the PS4, you can keep playing your PS3 games. The Xbox doesn't have backward
compatibility with games, and Microsoft is making it almost impossible to play older
games you own.
Or even resell them to anyone but Microsoft.
And with the Playstation 4, you won't have a Kinect device in your home that is always
on, where Microsoft could spy on you.
What are they going to do? Send pictures of my disappointing expressions to the NSA?
They could.
They could also read my sexting messages to my boyfriend, and Hotmail email. They aren't
going to care about my facial expressions while gaming or how I look passed out on the
couch.
Another benefit of the PS4 is that Sony gives you coupons for the purchase of PS3 games,
so you can buy the PS4 version later for just $10 or so.
So I can buy the versions for my current console and still switch to the better version later,
if I get the PS4.
That's correct.
Sony is so much better than Microsoft.
And Sony play doesn't require an always on connection to the Internet. Your gameplay
won't be ruined because your internet connection is down.
My privacy rights don't matter much, but the property rights to my games matter a lot.
I'm getting the PS4.
