Mistery Hunters team conclusions: both video records are interesting and useful despite the week analog camera zoom and the absence of any optic stabilization. The "dead leaf-like" movements of the object is a typical feature of the authentic UFO sighting videos (it's clear in frame 7 at 1:09, second video).
We made a test with the same camera Giacomino used (Legria HF R209) with both manual and auto focus, with same environmental and logistic conditions: we focused on some brilliant points (as the star Arcturus) and we did not encounter any optical oddity or artifact that could explain the ellipsoidal shape seen in both videos.
