Hello, my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and on behalf of Expert Village today, I'm going
to talk to you about how to do a self testicular examination, but before I start talking about
this, I want to introduce myself. I am a clinical research physician in the oncology which is
cancer and also a stem cell scientist in AIDS and ***. I've worked and trained at the national
cancer institute in Bethesda, Maryland and also at UCLA School of Medicine. Now, in this
series of clips that you're going to join me watching, I'm going to show you how to
do a step by step self testicular examination which is very important to know and to actually
perform on a monthly basis when you're at the age of twelve and upwards because testicular
cancer which is a very rare condition that find in men is very preventable. So, to prevent
yourself to reduce your risk of getting testicular cancer, it is so important to know how to
do a self testicular examination on a monthly basis. You should inform boys at the age of
twelve and upwards how to do this examination and why because preventing testicular cancer
is easy and it's about early screening and early detection. I hope you enjoy this series
