So now that you've got the basic shape you're looking for; you want to go ahead and take
your hard rib, smooth that exterior curve; you can use your left hand to give a little
bit of support if you feel like your pushing down and you don't, you don't want to collapse
that in on itself of course and then take the rib push towards the center while you
pull with your left hand over the rib. Now this is to create an area for the lid to rest;
I'm going to smooth out the edge of the lip with my sponge and now I'm going to do that
again but my thumb on my right hand is pushing up while I push down on my left hand, and
I just want to create a wide area so that my lid has somewhere to rest. And once you're happy with that; go ahead
and take your rib hold it up against the bat, slide it towards the pot to give yourself
an undercut and then take your sponge and smooth that off. Set that aside and you've
got to move on and make the rest of the parts to this tea pot.
