Let's take a look now at some starting hands for Stud and Razz and talk about them. Here's
are some really good starting hands for Stud Poker. Aces and a king. You've got two aces
and a king, you've got suited connectors with ace-king suited. There are a number of ways
that you can make a nice hand with this and also out of the gate it pretty much dominates.
The only thing it's worried about is the hand below it, three of a kind. This doesn't happen
a lot but it'll happen to you once or twice in a session of Stud. This is called, as well
as three of a kind it's called, "rolled up" and in this case it's "rolled up queens".
If you get a rolled up hand to start with in a Stud game you pretty much want to be
married to it. And now let's look at a marginal hand. Ten-seven-six, suited for the ten and
seven, so that kind of works. You might get lucky and get a straight flush out of that.
If you get a flush with this ten and seven, it will probably be a strong flush.
