What is the best way to get rid of tired puffy eyes?
Is more sleep an acceptable answer?
No, it isn’t.
How about foundation? You could cover it up with makeup.
That isn’t good enough.
Put cucumbers and other foods on your eyes. I see that at the spa all the time.
Those treatments rarely worked. I might as well break out a time machine and become younger
as a solution.
Honestly, going back in time might let you see your younger self, but it won’t make
you personally younger.
Seriously, what can I do?
You could try hydrating creams. They’ll add moisture to the skin under your eyes.
Maybe. But so many of those creams turn out to be a rip-off or fruit salad in a tube.
Here’s a cheap, practical solution: wear sunglasses and sunscreen.
I thought I said I don’t want to hide my eyes.
Sun exposure ages the skin, leading to puffier eyes. You could also drink more water and
cut back on the salt.
What does that have to do with puffy eyes?
The skin under the eyes is very thin. If you’re bloated, it can show up there, too.
That’s hormonal, not cosmetic.
You could get your thyroid checks, since poor thyroid function leads to chronically puffy
eyes. You might need to take iron pills, too, since anemia can lead to fluid retention.
I’m not ready to talk to the doctor about this. That’s as expensive as the cosmetologist.
Try rose water on cotton balls held over the eyes. It should treat the puffiness, and you’ll
smell great.
That sounds corny.
It isn’t as weird as tea bags over your eyes, though I’ve seen women try that, too.
And hemorrhoid cream.
Wrong end.
Hemorrhoid cream restricts blood flow, and if you put it around the eyes, it can treat
the puffiness. Though you have to be careful not to get it in your eyes.
I’ll sooner wear the used tea bags.
