Who will be working on my case?
You know a lot of folks, when they come to a lawyer's office say, "Well I want Mr. Glass,"
or, "I want Mr. Smith to be working on my case." And the reality is, in an office like
ours is, yes I am working on your case. But I'm also supervising a lot of people. There's
literally hundreds of things that go on behind the scenes in a case, typical personal injury
case, ranging from getting medical records, analyzing medical records, getting the bills,
communicating with witnesses, communicating with the police officers. Well typically the
head lawyer isn't doing all of that stuff. The head lawyer has a trained staff, in our
case a very well trained staff, who's getting that information. The head lawyer is assimilating
that and making regiments, giving recommendations to you often being the one to negotiate with
the insurance company and usually being the one to try the case if need be. So my point
here is that to say who's working on my case, there's a lot of stuff that goes on below
the surface where your head lawyer that you've hired isn't actually the one who is getting
a piece from here and a piece from here. but that head lawyer should be the one who's making
the big decisions of the case, who you ought to be able to talk to that lawyer, he or she,
when you need to talk to that lawyer and that lawyer usually is the last one to know whether
a particular medical record has come in or not
