Hi. I'm Jennifer Durbin, and I've got some tips for you on how to treat a sick baby while
you're travelling.
It's really hard to have a sick baby at home, nevermind when you're traveling; so here are
a few tips on the things that you need to take with you, and keep in mind, just in case
your little one gets sick.
If your little one has an upset stomach, you want to have things like plain crackers and
apple sauce on hand, just in case you need to switch them to a bland diet. Also pack
a little medicine kit for them. If they're teething, make sure you've got teething tablets.
If they have allergies, make sure you've got your allergy tablets. It's always helpful
to have ear drops, little sneezes and cough medicine; everything that your baby might
need if they get the sniffles.
You also want to make sure you're prepared, just in case you're dealing with any bumps
and bruises, so have a small first aid kit handy as well as some hand sanitizer and sanitizing
spray. If your little one is sick, you don't want them to get everyone else sick as well,
so you can clean up after yourself with those things.
It's very important if your child has a medical condition to let your pediatrician know before
you're traveling, and take his contact information with you, just in case. You might want to
even to check to see where a local urgebt care is, near your destination, should anything
happen.
With these few tips, you can keep baby as comfortable as possible while you're traveling.
