So many new summer dramas, but no time to watch them all! I'm Alex and I'm here to tell
you which new series are actually worth checking out in SideReel's Summer Drama Watch.
If you're going through Vampire Diaries withdrawals, you might like MTV's new summer series Teen
Wolf. Like TVD, Teen Wolf takes place in high school,
but unlike most normal teens, Teen Wolf's protagonist Scott has to juggle the added
responsibilities of being a werewolf in addition to his stressful daily routine. The show packs
plenty of drama, sci-fi style action, and steamy makeout sessions, so if that's your
style, be sure to track this new hit show.
If you can't get enough Grey's Anatomy, or you're typically a fan of medical dramas,
you might be into ABC's new drama, Combat Hospital. What sets it apart is that it follows
the doctors of a military hospital working in Southern Afghanistan. It's a bit more serious
than Grey's, but has similarly intense characters, high-pressure emergency operations, and even
a British McDreamy-type doctor to spice things up.
if you were a fan of Heroes, you might like Syfy's Alphas. The new drama has a simple
premise - a group of people with extraordinary abilities fighting crime - but balances it
out with solid writing. It's like Heroes without all the convoluted storylines, and although
the action scenes can be a bit corny at times, it's an easy-to-follow, fun-to-watch summer
show.
That's it for today's Summer Drama Watch. Be sure to check back on our drama page to
