Hi folks and welcome to the introduction and operation video for the ProLine model 101
range hood. Now since we’ve introduced this model, it’s
become one of our most popular sellers and we receive a
lot of questions about the operation, about the features of the hood so we thought we’d
shoot a quick video that would help answer the most
common questions that we receive. Both online and in
our showroom floor here. So we’re going to try to go through this pretty quickly and
we’re just going to focus on the control panel. We have other
videos that show how to do the cleaning, how to do the
basic maintenance on the hood in other videos so you can watch those if you’re interested
in basic maintenance or the cleaning and we’ll also
have installation videos shortly. Ok now the first thing
you’re going to notice. Well before I go into the operation, let me explain, this is
our forty two inch model. We also make this model in thirty six
inch and forty eight inch. It’s shown with the optional
twelve inch chimney extension. We have those chimney extension in twelve inch, twenty four
inch, and thirty six inch so we can accommodate
ceilings in a standalone wall application up to ten feet tall,
or a litter higher, if you mount the hood a little bit higher. Ok, now the first thing
you’re going to notice is there are four lights lit up. That means
that the hood is running. The entire time I’ve been talking so
far, the hood has been on superquiet mode. It shows just how quiet this hood can operate
at 400 cfm. Now that’s this button right here, we’ll
turn that off. Now it’s perfectly quiet in here so you can hear a
little bit but in our superquiet mode it operates at 400 cfm, 2.8 sones. One of the quietest
hoods in the industry, for comparable air movement. Now
the next thing you’re going to notice is these two lights
are lit up. This light is our main lighting, three halogen lights across the front, twenty
watt, low voltage halogens. They have two settings so they’ll
have high, medium, and then off. Now this is our heat
lamp in the back. Now I’m going to turn that off. For the purposes of this demonstration,
we use a fifty watt halogen bulb. Some of our customers choose
to use this as auxiliary lighting. Some choose to use
the halogen bulb- it’s up to you. It’s based on personal preference but it’s a
simple operation- on, off. Now for our lights in the front, we have three
settings. Now they’re directional halogen lights and so
they light the surface, they don’t light a lot of the air and the space around it so
to try and show you this I’ll just hold my hand here. It does
have three settings so here’s high, medium, and low and then
our fan settings. We’ve got high, medium, and low, and superquiet mode and one of the
best features about this hood is that when you’re done
cooking and you’re ready to serve, you can put this hood in
three minute mode. So let’s say that you have everything on, now you’re in three
minute mode and in three minutes, everything will shut down so
it’s great. You still have a little bit of heat here, you’re
ready to serve the food, you want to go sit at the table with your guests, you put it
in three minute mode, it shuts everything off. Now of course
if you want to avoid that, just hit the button again. Now
everything shuts off. With a single light here, none of these buttons work. You can
clean them all, touch them, none of them function then to
make them function, now the power is to all the buttons,
any of the buttons will work. So, there you have it, it’s on high now, on high we use
a thousand cfm, and that’s it. That’s how the ProLine
model 101 works. Thanks for watching and if you have any
questions, please email us at sales@prolinerangehoods.com. Thank you!
