In this video I'm going to show you how to child proof your home. As you'll see there
are many hazards that could cause a possible danger to your children. We'll be looking
at the kitchen, bathroom, common passageways and stairways.
Okay, let's start in the kitchen and with doors. We've fitted a door buffer to this
door and that way you're able to keep the door slightly ajar so you don't have to keep
it shut all the time and it's going to protect your children's fingers. And then there's
our kitchen benches. Our kitchen benches are at a height that are a hazard to our children.
We have corner buffers. These are rubber ardem and they're good for protecting your children's
face.
Moving onto the refrigerator. A simple and easy to use ratchet stall clip locks the doors
together and the children cannot get into your refrigerator. Moving onto the oven. Now
this appliance is one of the most dangerous in the kitchen. So this guard does two things.
One, the child's aren't able to reach over into the flame area, but also unable to pull
hot pots that come to themselves.
We also have *** covers. They stop the children from actually getting there and having a flame
bringing up the flamer when you know you don't want the flame up. Then there's the cupboards.
A simple and easy to use retaining strap stops the children from getting into your cupboards.
Another stall down below is the ratchet stall. Simple and easy to use. It keeps the doors
locked and your children out.
Okay, now let's have a look at the bathroom. Hey look, here's our door protector again.
Also our cupboards, now these cupboards might have medicines in them so once again, our
quick release. Perfect for you to get into the cupboard, but hard for the child to.
Now our bath. Very important so let's have a look at the bath. We have our anti slip
pad and also our temperature gauge. Make sure the temperature's right before you put the
child in. Also a spout cover, a very important thing. We want to keep our children away from
the spout. And the toilet seat clip enables you to keep the seat in the lock down position
and I have a quick release clip for you to able to use the toilet.
Okay, let's have a look at our hallways and stairwells. Our simple to use gate and it's
also self-closing. Power points can be hazardous for children so a simple plug keeps their
fingers away. And also while we're talking about power points, a plug-in night light.
Perfect for when it's dark.
So there you have it. If you follow these simple steps you'll go a long way towards
