Hello everyone, Radytz here and today I wanted to share with you guys some little things
that I've learned over the years I've been playing this game in order to succeed in solo
queue. This guide will be more like a little suggestive video than an instructional guide
itself and I hope it can be helpful for many of you.
So, in order to understand the importance of having the correct mindset before entering
a solo queue game, we have to understand the meaning of mindset.
Mindset is not more than "A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person's
responses to and interpretations of situations"; this means that entering a game with the wrong
mindset can be the difference between winning and losing the game.
Now, I know a lot of people have explored this thematic before, and I noticed that every
single person who talks about the subject only mentions what you should do in-game and
not what you should do BEFORE the game, and this is where I come in. I want to tell you
the importance of being psychologically ready for a game before it even starts and I want
you to understand that there are a lot of little things that you can't ignore before
queuing up for a ranked game. So, what "little things" are these? Don't
worry, I'll not be telling you that you shouldn't flame, that you shouldn't get mad at your
team mates, that you shouldn't blame them, that you shouldn't take solo queue seriously,
no, I won't be telling you any of that, instead, I'll be telling you how you should prepare
for a game, how you should approach solo queue, how you can have a CORRECT mindset.
So let's get started. Having the correct mindset before entering a solo queue game is basically
all about feeling comfortable and good with yourself, it's all about feeling happy before
the game starts. Having this said, what do I really mean? Basically,
if you had a bad day at school or at work and came home with the intention of relieving
all that fury into solo queue, then don't play ranked games. If you just had an argument
with your girlfriend and you are a little bit sad, then don't play ranked games. If
you are feeling hungry, then don't play ranked games. If you don't have the comfortable chair
that you are used to and are playing on some uncomfortable kitchen chair instead, then
don't play ranked games. If you don't have those cute pink slippers that always wear
when you play and your feet are cold, then don't play ranked games. Basically, don't
queue up for ranked matches if you don't feel on the best mood possible. If you establish
a rule to yourself that tells you that you can only play if you're feeling really good
with yourself, then I guarantee you that your elo will go up like a rocket, even if this
means that you'll only be playing 2-3 ranked games a day instead of 10, just let it be
that way. Winning a ranked game is much more about your own mindset than people think.
Usually people just focus on blaming their own team mates instead of thinking what they
could have don't better in order to win that one ranked game. Well, the answer is simple,
you could have had a better mindset before queuing up in first place.
Just think with me for a second, you can't control the way your team mates play, but
you can at least make sure that YOU can play at your full potential, maybe then you really
can carry those other team mates of yours and climb the solo queue ladder. Of course
that being a nice and polite person in game will help, but there are simply things that
are beyond our control, like the way other people behave during games, so having the
correct mindset is the best and most safe thing that you can work on for yourself that
is under your control, so work on it. There are a bunch of things that will help
you achieving this: eat healthy food, go to the gym, get in shape, get as healthy as possible,
study hard and be a good student so that you don't get in trouble at school or at home
with your parents, be a good coworker so that you don't get stressed, be nice to people
around you, be nice to yourself and to your body, just be a good person. The better person
you are, the better player you will become, that's for sure.
If you manage to have a good mindset, I'm pretty sure that your win ratio in solo queue
will eventually go up. This doesn't mean that you'll be winning every single game, no, far
from that, you'll still be losing games, just not as much as you used to, and you'll probably
not feel as bad as before because you know that you did your best.
So that's all for now, I know that these suggestions can be a joke for some of you, but I'm pretty
sure that there are a lot of people out there who just mindlessly queue up for ranked games,
even if their mind isn't on this planet just because they think that your mindset has nothing
to do with either winning or losing a game, so I hope this can help some of those people.
So yeah, that's it for today's video, I hope you guys enjoyed watching and if you did please
feel free to rate, comment and subscribe. Thanks everyone and see you next time.
