Welcome to part two, we'll continue reporting the Paris motor show.
There aren't just French manufacturers, so we'll probably see plenty of exciting things.
Come along.
This is the all new Bentley Continental GT.
We've heard that before with the Passat...
...and this one also hasn't changed that much.
One big difference is invisible right now, the LED rings.
They're turned off but, as you know, most new cars have LEDs nowadays.
This is the rich man's VW Golf so to speak.
If you've done well for yourself, you buy this car.
This is pretty fun too, the ultimate 911...
...the GT2 RS.
It's a lighter and faster version of the GT2.
That was a turbo with rear-wheel drive and a lot of horsepower...
...this one has 620 hp and weighs, let's see, 1,370 kg (3,020 lb.).
It laps the NŸrburgring in 7:18 minutes.
It's insanely fast.
Volvo hasn't got a lot of news here at the Paris motor show.
We already know the V60, but they've brought the S60 and V60 R-Design.
With wider bumpers, shiny and matte details...
...and bigger wheels. They're 5-spoke and they look quite nice. And...
I see that my camera man is having a coffee right now.
Look at that, check it out!
Really?
If you think a Gallardo Superleggera is a bit too flashy...
...just check this Audi R8 GT out.
Only 333 units will be made.
And the recipe is the same as with its Italian neighbors.
It has a top speed of 200 mph...
...that's pretty similar to the old one, that one did about 199 mph.
So that's not why you buy it...
...you do buy it because it's the most hardcore R8 of the moment.
For street use that is.
And if you only care about looks get this R8 Spyder.
It has a V8 nowadays, so it's just the entry-level model.
But the girls won't see that.
Would it just be a very motivated car journalist?
That's almost impossible because they're all very lazy people.
Or is it one of those spies who also hang around here...
...and who check everything out? He does look Asian...
...so he could be Japanese. I'm never very good at spotting that.
We have it for ourselves now, the Lexus CT 200h.
It falls in a low tax level and it does 61,9 mpg.
It's a petrol hybrid based on the Prius...
...but completely different and completely premium.
And it should drive a lot better. But we can't drive it yet...
...but I'm going to sit in it to check if it feels nice.
That's quite nice.
This is the new Ford Focus, it will go on sale next year.
We've already seen it at a show but Ford is very early because it's a car for the whole world.
And it will be produced the same way all over the world.
This is the hot version, the Focus ST.
The color says it all, it's a cool car.
The previous ST had the excellent Volvo/Ford 5-cylinder.
Unfortunately, it had to go. Now it has a 2-liter turbo with 250 hp.
Another unfortunate thing is that we really have to wait a long time for this one.
About one and a half years.
BMW brought the new X3.
The funny thing is that our own Autoblogger has pretty much burned this car down...
...because he thinks it's hideous.
I don't think it's hideous but I also don't think it's very pretty, I'm neutral.
For the moment there are just two engines, a 2-liter diesel with 183 hp...
...and the 35i petrol with two turbos and 306 hp.
It'll probably drive just fine because that's what BMW Xs are known for.
When you say innovation... you're talking about some grim Japanese guy.
A**hole!
If you're talking about real innovation, BMW wins it.
Because look at this, a real iPad.
Too bad this iPad is stuck on some BMW commercial...
...but don't let that spoil the fun.
This should be it, the successor to the Peugeot 505.
It's the 508, we've seen it as a concept before.
And well, it's a big French sedan.
We already know the fully electric Peugeot iOn...
...but I don't think it's the most exciting thing on show here.
It's very expensive with a limited range.
This is better. It's not the prettiest car around, the 3008.
This is the HYbrid4, the fun thing is that people walk through the shot...
...and that this is a diesel hybrid. It has a 2-liter 163 hp diesel engine...
...and an electric engine with 37 hp.
And because of that, this pretty big monstrosity...
...does 61,9 mpg. That's pretty economical.
This is the Nissan Murano facelift and we're not sure if it has LEDs.
There's a little strip here, but we suspect it's just got normal lamps.
We can't turn them on.
The for Mondeo has some new engines like the 2-liter turbo EcoBoost...
...and a new 200 hp diesel.
Oh, and it's had a facelift. Check out those LEDs.
With girls like that on the stand, I'm almost redundant.
But you also want to know my opinion of course.
It's a barbiemobile on the one hand but on the other I think it's quite cool.
Just check out this leather with a texture in it, it looks quite funny.
It's an entry-level Range Rover but it looks quite nice.
And the exterior also looks quite cool...
...with its big wheels and its big front.
I think it's quite a cool car.
It looks quite funky, the new Citro‘n C4.
There's also a Micro Hybrid Diesel available...
...that's what the French call a start-stop system nowadays.
It's quite a misleading name.
There are a couple of things I noticed.
There's also a 1.6 with 120 hp and you can also get it with an automatic.
A 4-speed automatic.
The competition makes do with 8 or 7 speeds...
...but according to Citro‘n, 4 will do.
Of course it also has an exterior.
It's typical Citro‘n, recognizable like their other models.
It looks nice, but not very surprising.
This is very cool of course, a matte black Citro‘n C5 Tourer.
And it's had a facelift 'cause it has LEDs.
A nice Fiat 500, a model with photo's on it.
I can't think of a better ending of part 2.
I'm off and I'll see you in part 3.
