- First of all,
I love all of the color because I think color
- I'm usually green.
- You're usually green?
- My hair's usually green,
but I'm waiting for my hair dresser
to come back from the Dominican Republic.
(gentle pop music)
- I'm Yuval David.
We all have a responsibility to improve the lives of others
and to the world around us.
What have you done to make this world a better place?
What's your name?
- Regina.
- Regina, so, I'm actually stopping random people
on the streets today, here in New York,
and I'm asking every single person
who I stop the same question.
- What is it?
- What have you done to make this world a better place?
- I'm a volunteer and I give people a good time.
I make 'em happy, I volunteer at the downtown boathouse,
in the Manhattan Community Boathouse, it's free kayaking.
All they say is thank you, thank you for doing this.
They're very happy that they can go kayaking for free,
and that the volunteers make it possible.
If somebody who's homeless like stops you in the street
and like asks you for like a dollar or something,
or buy them something to eat,
I think you should.
I mean, I'm not saying do it every day.
I think you should do it, I just don't think you should
just walk by and ignore them.
- Thank you so much.
- You're welcome.
- That's a wonderful, wonderful response,
and thank you for everything you do.
- Oof, that's a hard question.
I don't know, I don't have a good question for that.
Hopefully talk to people about what they're feeling,
and hopefully trying to make them feel better.
Ya know, donating as much as I can.
- Not living here, I'm from Switzerland.
The only thing that I can do is more like,
take care of the environment.
Not in particularly by flying,
but try to have my own little garden in Zürich.
Ya know, it's always small steps that makes
a big step at the end.
- Thank you both.
- Great, thank you.
- Have a great day.
What have you done to make this world a better place?
- To be honest, first of all.
To be honest to everyone that you meet.
That's the number one, and then second thing that be like,
friendly, to treat people like
the way you want to be treated.
If you want to change people,
you have to be the number one example.
You have to show yourself, you want to see the change.
If you prove yourself like you are the example.
I think everybody can follow it.
But if you don't teach yourself first of all,
before you correct other people,
you have to correct yourself.
I think that's the best thing.
- That is very true, thank you so much.
(happy pop music)
Thank you so much for watching this video.
I hope that I've inspired you
to make a difference in your community.
So the question still stands,
what have you done to make this world a better place?
