As you may have noticed behind me is my wall of stuff - and as part of my attempt to teach
you to be classy
I'm wearing a… peacoat.
A tailored peacoat.
Jon Paz Videos
So today's video was gonna be how to be classy but
then I realized, you probably won't spend a whole lot of time
just cultivating your life to be classy...
so instead, the topic of this video will be: "How to Make It Look Like You're Classy"
the first thing you can do, is talk about literature. Just refer to it as
literature.
don't go into specifics because if people start asking questions you may not
have read that shakespeare play, so
you're gonna look pretty dumb, aren't you?
if you have the time, read the book "Guns, Germs, and Steel." That'll pretty much catch you up to
date on everything that there is to be classy about. Otherwise, just go online,
get a couple quotes from shakespeare, and a couple from other great authors. Quote
them whenever the time is right.
If people don't get the reference, that's even better, because
you'll sound intelligent and they'll automatically assume you're classy.
when people ask you about your musical taste always say classical.
but to stay remotely relatable, make sure you dirty it up a little bit by saying you like
radiohead and U2. And be quick to show them your vinyls.
if you're on a date and you're going to a nice restaurant, order the weirdest
sounding thing on the menu. *Bonus feature:* the hard mode for this is, if you get a
chance, duck out and figure out how to pronounce it first. She may not know that you're
pronouncing it wrong, but believe me, the waiter will. When asked about how it
tastes to say the flavor profiles complement each other.
and tip at least thirty percent.
when you're around other people, try to drink tea. people will assume that you are
cultured with tea and therefore classy. Of course, a classy individual must know a
lot about art as well.
so when you're talking about paintings, focus in on the brush strokes. Talk about
the brush strokes - which direction they're going, how long or short they are,
people will just love that.
when you're talking about photography just compliment on the light or the color.
remember, a little bit goes a long way.
also talk about science... but not too much
if you talk too much about science people will think you're a nerd.
The last thing is, show up on time.
Punctually.
never early though, because if you show up early, people assume you have nothing
else to do.
and if you actually want to dedicate your life to being classy you can just
actually do all those things that I mentioned. You classy viewer, you.
