Do I need hearing aids? This is a question I'm often asked after the hearing test has
been performed. Typically, I will not answer that question until I've gone through the
whole process of determining where that person is struggling, identify the hearing loss as
we've done through the testing, and then giving that person an interactive demonstration of
what they're missing. Once we've gone through that with the set of devices programmed to
their loss when we do this in the office, then I will generally look back at them and
say you definitely heard me clearer. You heard me volume-wise much better. You understood
your wife, your husband much better. What do you think now? You think you need hearing
aids? I can tell you typically what I'll hear is a resounding yes.
