Assalamo Alaikum. Well done,
if you just talk us through how you went today.
Auzubillah Hi Minashaitan Nirajeem, Bismillah Hirrahman Nirraheem.
We are Jamia/Islamabad, we are new into this region.
We came with a lot of confidence, and obviously the main thing
that pushed us hard was that we knew that Hazur would be here
for all three days. So that was our main motivation. So all we told
our players was that, look, as Jamia students, us students that
have come into a new region, the main aim, the main thing that
our Principle Sahib tell us is that we want that little smile on
Hazur's face whenever we're doing something in Jamaat.
So, that was our main push, and Al Hamdullillah I think we've done it
for Hazur. Every game that we played we showed the passion and
mainly discipline, we tried to show all the time.
Even though there was a lot of passion in the game, we tried to
keep the discipline, which is the main reason why we're here.
So Al Hamdullillah, congratulations to all the teams that came,
especially Muqami - they did really really well. Very good team,
very good players. And they showed us, I mean, a good game.
Al Hamdullillah in the end we are Ijtema 2013 champions. Assalamo Alaikum.
Jazakallah, well done.
How do you think the football tournament went this year then?
Yeah the Ijtema football was quite organised.
I mean the pitches look quite short from the previous year,
but the atmosphere and everything was still alright.
We didn't expect that many people to watch us,
but to be in three finals in the last couple of tournaments, that's an achievement.
And I think we're getting there, slowly.
What about the final then?
The final is a little bit of a disappointment, but the players,
in the shape they were in, they weren't really ready because
of yesterday, the couple of matches, then relay run.
But I'm just trying to find excuses, there's not really an excuse.
Jamia is definitely, at the moment, the better team.
Abdullah Dibba played really well, and we're definitely looking forward,
in the future, to beat him.
What do think the special thing is about Jamia, their team?
Because every year they seem to be pulling through.
It's because they're training every day, literally.
I mean, Muqami, back in the days, we just used to get up
in the tournament and just start playing. And now we've started
training as well. So you can tell us Muqami, after years of time,
we're getting far in the tournament because of training,
Luqman Dean very good player, he's been playing for time. He's leading
the training so everyone's getting involved. But, here on
time and everything, we're still so organised now, much better than
the previous years. So we're getting there, Insha'Allah lets see what happens.
Jazakallah, well done on your second place.
