Hello. It is Jackie Elton from Social Media Lincs. Today I am doing a short tutorial on
how to link a pin you have uploaded, back to your own website or Facebook page or anywhere
like that. So here is a pin that I have created and uploaded
earlier, now it is not pinned directly from my website, so I need to edit it, to link
it to where I want it to go to if somebody clicks on it.
So ideally I would like it to go to my sales page for Fairtrade Fairies, whereas at present
if we click on it you will see it just goes to the jpeg and nowhere else. So we want it
to actually link to my sales page. So we have to go in and edit.
So here you can see when we edit there isn't any link here because I have uploaded it so
we go across to where I want it to link to, copy the url like so and then paste the url
in there and save the pin. So there we have the pin again and now it
is saying that it is from Green Aspirations.co.uk and if we click on it, it now goes to my sales
page. So hopefully if anybody sees that and thinks they would like to buy a Fairtrade
Fairy then they can go through to my sales page.
Here is another one of my pins and this one if we click on it goes directly to the buy
it now, add to basket page. So that's another way that you can link you can just link to
the actual specific product page for it and again all you do is copy that url opposed
to when we were in the Fairtrade Fairies bit over here.
So the reason why linking like this is so important is that it then makes it easier
for people to go through and buy your products or read a blog article or anything like that
and also if it has been repinned, then further down the line somebody will find it easier
to get to your website. I hope you that interesting and useful. Please
do come and find me either on Twitter @SocialMediaLinc without the s or on Facebook or look at the
rest of my blog at socialmedialincs.co.uk All the links are on may channel, as I say
I hope you found that useful. Bye for now.
