In this special episode of the JT show you’ll discover an awesome copywriting secret from
Wal-Mart, what the heck I’ve been up to these past three months and how you can star
in next weeks episode.
Welcome to the JT show where you will discover the latest in online video marketing news
and some sneaky marketing secrets to help you get more likes, views, subscribes and
sales. I’m JT and let’s get on with the news.
So I’m pretty sure the more eagle eyed of you would have noticed that for the past couple
months I haven’t been uploading any new videos, so instead of giving you the latest
in online video marketing years I thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you what
I been doing for the past three months. Okay so I wish I could say something cool like
I’ve been developed this new fridge that is powered by the calories of the food that
is actually stored inside the fridge so that you save on your electricity bills and lose
weight at the same time... but the truth is I actually bought a new pair of rock climbing
shoes, rock climbing harness and a surfboard... and another surfboard.
So basically I’ve just been on a bit of a break from videos of the past three months
just making the most of the nice weather here in Australia. Doing a lot of canyoning, rock
climbing and surfing but the good news is that it’s autumn now it’s getting a little
bit colder and I’m tired of running out of excuses. So I’ll basically be getting
back to the weekly show very soon and now it’s time to the sneaky marketing secret.
This week’s sneaky marketing secret is a copywriting trick that I learned from Wal-Mart.
Generally when you give people a good deal or discount you need to give them a very good
“reason why” otherwise they’ll get very suspicious of you. “So what’s wrong with
it...!?” “Why’s it so cheap...?!” “What’s the catch...?!”
What Wal-Mart’s been able to do is to say “Well the prices we have a really low because
this stuff has come to us a lot easier than we expected it to, so that way we can pass
the savings onto you.”
You can say “Well my latest book is at a really good discount because it took me a
lot less time and effort to make it than I thought it would, so I’m able to pass the
savings on to you.” And now it’s time to the question of the week
This week’s question is “What have you been up to these past three months?” Your
answers can be serious or sneaky, let’s just make them as original as we can. You
can leave your answers in the comments section which is down below and the ones that I like
best will be on next weeks show.
And as always, if you liked this show remember to hit the “like” button which is down
below or you can subscribe to my channel by hitting the button up above and remember you
can share with your friends. I’m JT and here are the answers to the question I asked
you three months ago.. thanks for waiting!
