Hey, Warriors. It's your trainer, Marcia Prince, here.
In today's exercise, I'm going to show you how can really fire up that
core. It's a small core exercise you can do with the TRX, but man, does it
work. It's called the TRX Hip Drop.
All right. So what you want to do is grab your suspension trainer. And what
I've done is I've interlocked the handles. So I just put on through the top
of it, and then loop it again through the top. There we go. Make sure it's
stabilized.
I want to grab one of the handles. I'm going to bring it over my head a
little bit more towards the right side. And then I'm going to stagger my
feet. Okay?
And when I change, to make it harder, I'm going to change my angles. So
bring the vector down lower, or if you're brand-new beginners, you want to
start up here.
I'm going to bring it to about right here for today.
So what you want to do is bring your handle on top of your head. Keep your
core tight. Okay, your elbows out. Stagger your feet. And then drop the
hip. And then bring up back to center. That's your neutral position.
Release slowly. And drop it, just like that.
And you really want to use your breath on this. So when you come down,
you're going to breathe in. Whew. And then you're going to breathe out.
Whew. When you come up, contract the diaphragm. That will give you more of
a squeeze.
I mean, this looks like it's nothing, whew, but it's firing up that core.
And since I'm on this side, it's firing up my entire right side.
Then, of course, do the left. You do it on the left side, bring it back,
stagger your feet, just like that.
But this is one of those little tiny exercises that fires up the entire
core, especially the obliques.
So this is a TRX Hip Drop.
