Hello, my name is Sean and I'm an academic coach at the Russell Conwell Center.
This is the second video in the three part series about procrastination
and titled: How to Avoid Procrastination. Are TV or social networks interrupting your studying?
There are plenty of places on campus you can go in order to get away from technology and really
focus on that paper or exam. Try checking out the Library or The Tech Center.
Or maybe even the ______ lounge areas in Tuttleman. In one of our other videos
We are discussing the importance of a day planner. Day planners are any forms of calendars
that are extremely important when it comes to avoiding procrastination
Planning and sticking to a study schedule
will help you avoid work pile up. Obviously there are more appealing activities then studying
and doing school work but learning to overcome the temptation to avoid studying
especially from friends is vital to completing your work. Make a schedule so that you have time to do these activities and
plan for the unexpected. Losing motivation?
it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed and stressed in college
sometimes reaches a point where you just want to give up the work and put it off
for another time.
Break down all your assignments so that everything seems smaller than it is.
Set small goals for yourself so that you can reach them slowly rather than achieving them all in one
night.
Don't yell yourself you can study for 6 hours in one night and knockout that 4 page paper right
after
most importantly remember to take a deep breath and relax
Thank for watching this video and place check out the third video in our three part series about procrastination
