Turn Your iPhone into a Laser! Hey, what's good, guys? Keaton here. So today we're gonna
be checking out something pretty close to my heart. Basically, when I was in school,
I was always that kid who'd bring a laser pointer to class. Drop a like on this video
if you were the same way. And I would just mess with the teachers. Just 'cause like I
thought it was funny, and all my friends did too. But all my laser pointers kept getting
taken away. So in today's video, I'm gonna show you how to turn your iPhone into a laser
pointer. Let's go. This right here is the iPin Laser. It goes for 60 bucks. Links below.
If you want to pick one of these up, make sure you check which phones it's compatible
with, because they do make a different one for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. And it doesn't
work for Android, so I'm sorry friends out there. So pretty much all you do is you take
this, you stick into the headphone jack of your iPhone, you open up their app, and you
have a laser pointer. Coolest thing ever. Here's what the iPin Laser looks like installed.
One thing to note, it doesn't work with all cases, just because the way you need to activate
this, it's gonna stick out from your phone. So that's just something you gotta take into
consideration. Also, with the iPhone 7, if they get rid of the headphone jack, you can
pretty much just throw this away, 'cause ... Unless they're making a lightning version of it.
I don't really know. So pretty much install, download the app, and that's it. Not even
gonna go over installation. Now, all you need to do is get their free app. Gonna open it,
and it's gonna force you to turn your phone around. I mean, I guess that's okay. And one
other thing that this can do is it can allow you to switch slides on a slide show, but,
hi, welcome 2016. Last time I gave a slide show was, what, like fifth grade? So that's
always something. You're here for the laser pointer. That's what we're here for. Now this
way, it won't activate. So you see how it's like flush with the bottom part of my iPhone
6 Plus. To get it to activate, you need to turn this this way so it's jutting out. It's
gonna say, "No pin detected." It's just lying to you. And there you go. I don't know if
you guys can see that right there. It is emitting. We're at a crazy lit set, so just keep that
in mind, but in terms of range here, since like all the $8 laser pointers that I was
getting taken away, they're gonna be fine if you're if you're in a classroom setting.
They're gonna be fine if you want to shine it on a building. Be very careful, and I didn't
show you this video, and I didn't show you this, if you get in trouble. But the cool
thing about this is that it's gonna sit flush with your phone. So in the event that your
teacher does say, "Hey Johnny, what're doing over there?" You can just be like, "Yo teach,
it's your boy Johnny. "I'm just on my phone." Now I know what you're thinking: "Keaton,
this little laser here is super tiny." And yes, you are right. But happens if you want
to listen to music? You're just gonna lose it. Throw it into your pocket, it's probably
gonna get lost. So they came up with a solution. It's like this little clip here, and it really
works best with ear pods, so you put the tip of the ear pods in here, and then you can
just stash the laser right in here, so you'll never lose it. So in conclusion, the iPin
Laser is tons of fun. It's a little pricey, for 60 bucks, but if you're just one of those
kids like your boy that's getting laser pointers pulled in class left and right, this might
not be a bad thing. 60 bucks, little pricey. I honestly looked around to try to find one
cheaper, and I didn't really come up with much. That's pretty much it for this video.
If you guys enjoyed it, a like would be really awesome. This thing right here, tons of fun,
absolutely awesome. Range is killer. Go get subscribed if you haven't already, and follow
