Hello everybody, this is ZeronXepher and today we're reviewing the Legacy Power Morpher
from Mighty Morphin
Power Rangers
So let's go ahead and take a quick tour around the box we have the front side right here
the top side
the left side, the right side, the bottom side
and the back side.
so let's go ahead and....
[SpeedRacerFlubber] HEY ZERON, GUESS WHAT? PLAY TIME IS OVER, PAL
IT'S MORPHIN TIME!
AYEEEE YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
The Legacy Power Morpher nearly every fanboy's wet dream.
Not only do we get a proper re-release of the original morpher,
but this version gets a huge upgrade that caters to the adult collector in
a MORPHINOMINAL way.
And let's say it's a four course meal of solidness.
And solid, indeed. First off, it allows collectors to pedal the metal!
THE DIE-CAST METAL! Major parts of the Legacy Power Morpher are now made in die-cast metal.
Even the power coins are metal too! Just listen to that satisfying sound of
metal coin slowly spinning onto the table. Mhmmmm Delicious.
Also, you can just slap your favorite dinosaur into the morpher with ease.
Secondly, the Legacy Power Morpher is beautiful in terms of presentation.
In front, we've got show-accurate tampographs that screams
'90s cheese.
And that cheese is more delicious than a Banana Shake at Ernie's. Mmmmmmm.
The back of the Power Morpher has something that was never shown in the original Mighty
Morphin Power Rangers series,
but is a very overt nod to fans who are aware of ANCIENT ORIGINS of the show.
the color bars on the top and bottom give off a retro vibe that gives you
another healthy serving of delicious '90s cheese. YUM YUM YUMMM.
However, fans who lean towards the end of the spectrum of purism may be disgruntled by this,
especially when the front says "POWER RANGERS" in big bold letters in front.
But seriously. Who cares? It's a nice addition that adds to the overall
presentation of the toy. One thing that can sort of leave a bad taste in your mouth is this
particular sticker that's right above the screwhole.
Just be very careful not to poke at it. Ripped stickers aren't delicious.
The Legacy Power Morpher comes complete with a holster,
which wasn't in the original release. But in terms of presentation,
this is a wonderful way to display your toy in your showcase. But on your body,
it falls flat...which is something this holster isn't. In fact, it's the opposite.
It's bulkier than Bulk. While a great addition, it's not recommended for cosplaying
since it will look like a *** pack. On the bright side, the *** pack look brings a
true '90s experience to your home. And nostalgia is always delicious.
Functionality wise, the holster does its job.
It securely holds the Morpher on both sides. Though, it was quite obvious that
it was meant to slot in back side up, as it lacks the nasty gap it makes when it's slotted in front side up.
That might turn off a few people. What might also turn off a few people is what happens
when you turn the toy on. Playability-wise, the toy is
morphinomenally underwhelming. It only has three sounds.
and the delicious '90s goodness of Ron Wasserman.
While the theme is a nice touch, holding down the button to play the entire theme can be a bit of a hassle.
But then again, that's all it does. And this limited functionality can morph
playtime into sadness...
But don't be that sad! Because if you hit the giant Z on the back, you can attack your
friends by shooting out Power Coins! Horraaay!
Overall, this toy is a beautiful-looking piece filled with POWER.
It has the right details, and the right accessories, and
in terms of presentation, it will obviously make a wonderful addition to your showcase.
This is another example of when it's okay to judge a book by its cover, since the
toy's looks are enough to justify a purchase.
But with the few electronic sounds, playability leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently, the morpher was
originally supposed to have more sounds, but what we have now is satisfying enough.
Though some fans might not be satisfied that it doesn't come with a special set of stickers
from that...
OTHER show.
Just remember, we're celebrating 20 years of POWER RANGERS.
Thank you very much for watching, this is ZeronXepher, signing out! WOOOSH
