I'm María, the veterinary doctor at El Hogar ProVegan, and I´d like to explain why it's necessary
to neuter our hens. In this case, we have a hen with broken,
frail feathers because her skin is very weak.
She is in this condition due to the egg-laying industry genetic selection,
which forces her to lay one or more eggs daily.
Laying an egg is the same as a woman's ***,
where many minerals and vitamins are lost each time. We are unable to provide the
right amount of supplements to counteract this massive loss,
and her eggs will start to have weaker shells that can rupture in her uterus.
In most of our hens, this rupture leads to an infectious peritonitis that,
, in most cases, ultimately ends their lives.
We are promoting this campaign to free them from this risk
and allow them to live happily
without the pains of laying eggs, mineral loss, and
energy depletion.
You can save the life of one of them if you
sponsor her surgery.
