Hey guys, Kira here.
I'm sorry that I haven't been working
on my quadsuit, I know a lot of you guys have been asking me about it
and the reason is because I've been
really busy with school, I just started college
since been kind of crazy and just with high school and everything I was really busy
with my senior year and just other things, art commissions
Playing Halo a lot... Halo.
But, I did
want to let you guys know that I will work on it eventually.
And I wanted you guys know why I hadn't been working on it.
Because I was at a point where
I needed a lot more materials then I had money for or
time to make I was designing a lot of different stuff
One of the main things being the arm stilts,
because what I had originally done
was made out of like three quarters-inch
pine wood, and that's fricken heavy.
Plus it really hurts to,
it really hurts your hands to walk on that.
So I was going to,
I was designing a new
....design..
I was designing
like a new PVC type of, like a stilt
design. More like crutches, because
it's a lot easier to have your hand turned like this,
like bike riders, and it is to have your hand turned like this,
and it's just really uncomfortable and and it really hurts your hands like
right in through here.
So I wanted to
remake that, and
another thing is that I want, that's why I wasn't able to foam
the arm stilts, because I wanted
to remake them. That being said, on
the arm stilts that I did make, the front toes
needed to be a lot bigger to make them in proportion with
how big my back toes had to be.
So I had,
I have to remake that.
One of the things I
did fix from my last video was
the shoulders, and
I......
the shoulders, I repositioned them
on the shirt and it looks a whole lot better
and it feels a whole lot better to wear.
And I
fixed, like I messed around with the... what I would have head more.
I was actually
ready to fiberglass the under skull, but I
didn't really have fiberglass at that time.
Or a place to do fiberglass, because
if anyone else has done fiberglass, you know that it's really messy,
and really horrible
to do in an area that you don't have set up for it, so that was something that I
really needed to
get done at some point...
and I had this really..
...and started
to come up with better ideas
based on layering for my under suit, and how I'm going to be
able to wash the fur, because...
...let's face it guys, it's really disgusting if you don't
wash it. Febreeze does not do the trick.
So what I was going to end up doing
was to end up taking the foam off of the shirt I had it on
and making...
probably end up making like these sleeves out of fabric for it.
And I might
end up filling those with like Polyfill because
somebody suggested that and that actually sounds pretty good, because it's lot lighter and more
and more flexible
a whole lot more breathable, and if you have worn a fur suit
you know how bad that is. And I really was not looking forward to having to
wear that much foam and fur
and be in that position for so long.
And you know in like a 100 degree in Texas heat, that's
not fun. Like when it's like eighty in the winter.
...
Other than that I have been
designing a.. I don't remember like what version of
design I'm on for it, but a Trayton suit.
If you guys don't know who Trayton is
because you're only following me on Youtube,
it's my actual fursona,
and its a male, muscle
wolf, so I was having this really cool idea
...I was having this really cool idea to make
a fur suit, like a full body fur suit,
that actually can flex, because I think that would be really awesome and
one of a kind.
But I'm also kinda reserved at making that at the moment, because I'm going to
school for mechanical engineering
and when I really want to do is animatronics,
which is a form of robotics. If you don't know what it is look it up on
youtube.
Basically what it is, what I want to do
is with it in costumes,
I mean obviously, but that being said, have
you know like if I have Trayton, if I have the head
being able to make him snarl and his ears go back.
I've already started designing
how I could do that with out animatronics, so I might make that version and
then at some point in my future, once I
understand special effects better, would be able to remake the head or
probably by that point, remake the entire body.
Because honestly, it's kind of embarrassing
to wear
the Trayton suit that I had made when I was 14,
because it is kind of crappy,
and I know a lot of people
don't have suits that they want and
you know at least I have one. But I mean you can understand, right?
From my perspective, being an artist
how it just kinda hurts
to have that. Plus I was,
before I found it on, if you guys don't know on Tumblr
fuckyeahdurrsuits, that kind of hurt my pride a little bit. So I
have to remake it, and make it pretty badass
because aint nobody gonna be like "Yer suit suks".
...
Anyway, yeah, so hopefully I can get that done at some point.
But thanks a lot guys for watching and caring,
I will link you to
the last picture I had taken of
the entire.. what I had.
I will link you that in the description, and
I hope that you guys really enjoy it. I'm sorry
guys, but I have lost the password to my Deviantart; apparently I lied about my age,
so I can't recover the account.
So I'm really sorry if I haven't replied to you,
if you want a quicker answer,
I would suggest getting a furaffinity and contacting me through there, because I'm
a lot more
active, especially now that I have a smartphone. :D
yeah
