Hi I'm Seth Maxomalus and I'm an artist and an illustrator. Longer lines are harder to
do because most drawings especially what I am doing with a brush are like little strokes
connected to each other and connected to each other but like long curves you are running
out of ink on a pull and you'll need to pick up where you last left off. For example I
will do his cheek and it will probably stop part way into it and I went that far but that
line actually needs to connect to here but I stopped there and pulled off because for
one re-inking and re-filling the brush whenever I am pulling this through the ink and turning
it, pointing it, put the brush where I last left it and this is where you kind of aim
a little bit, put the brush at that last line and continue with your line and pull. Now
this is also where the optical illusion thing kicks in like even if you miss the line it
doesn't matter because essentially what you are doing is when you are drawing or inking
something in you are pretty much creating an illusion of form and shape and your brain
fills in what is missing. Like I am not drawing every single like whisker or mole or iota
on here but I am giving the illusion that it exists. Like with hair I won't be drawing
every single strand but back to the line continuing one straight line, stopping and then with
the brush inking it and see I am finishing this ear here. It is not like I did the ear
in one stroke, I am putting the brush back on and pulling it in.
