Hello everyone. I'm now back in the game and this is the beginning of Phase 4. I am unable
to upload this video at the time of recording because of NDA but I will be able to upload
it come launch which is why it is being uploaded after the 27th. Anyway, I'm in and this is
my 1.0 character. I didn't really like the game when I first played it but I figured
I'd revive this character now the reason I am on Masamune server is because I've joined
a very nice *free company* called Distant World and this is where they are based. Masamune
is actually a japanese legacy server but when you're starting in the game just select which
ever server you think is appropriate for you. They do in the list show which region each
server is and it might be worth going to one which you feel is more appropriate. I only
joined this server because of my *free company*. Anyway, today what I want to be able to edit
my character's appearance and name and so on. As you can see there's a message right
here that says 'You are granted one opportunity to edit your character's race, *tribe*, gender,
appearance and name'. Let's do this. So there you go it says 'To login with this character
from version 1.0 you must first specify the Discipline of War or Magic class you wish
to begin the game in. You will also be granted one opportunity to edit your character's race,
tribe, gender, appearance and name'. Let's see how this works. They have added this button
in which allows you to generate a random name sticking to the naming convention of the race.
Each race has it's own naming convention depending on whether you're male or female. You can
click that button if you can't think of any name. I already the name I want. It's difficult
when choosing these things, it really is because you don't know really if there's any difference.
Also you don't know who your favorite because there's these twelve. They're called the twelve,
who are the patrons of the game. Essentially also like the 'Gods' of the game. Depending
on which one you select will also affect as you can see here the elemental attributes.
It's kind of like a resistance to each element but as you can see there's only one or two
difference between each one, it's not really a big deal. It's really just down to whichever
you think is the best. Maybe I'll go for this guy because it says 'he is most often depicted
as a care free ranger yielding a bow of yew' and given I want to be an archer and bard
and so on I believe this is the most appropriate. I guess I'll set this to my preferred, because
before I just did first of the first, it didn't make any difference but I will change it to
be a representation of my own birthday. Something that was not available in the character creation
screen is this button. What you can do, clicking on this button called Job, you're now dressed
in your Artifact gear for the game which is completely awesome for Bard. And she is using
here the Relic or holding the Relic bow called the Artemis Bow which I will be covering in
a later series to talk about how to obtain. And if you change class, as you can see, it
shows you all the Artifact gear. This is something that is worth messing around with later on.
Also Disciples of Magic, there you go Arcanist, Thaumaturge, Conjurer. I will be sticking
to Archer. OK so I guess I'll be recreating my character. I'm surprised I don't have the
option to just load the other one, let me see. Anyway, I'll just recreate it, because
I remember how to do it. I'm just quickly going through the options I selected last
time. One thing I noticed with this is that these tails are whatever color your hair is,
will match the color of the tail. But what this one means is that, the red tip will then
match the color of your highlights. So your tail will be your hair color and the tip of
it will be the highlight color. Which is what is represented by the red. I've decided to
go for that for mine. So this is all the same as before, when I made it last time. I decided actually to this time go without the
fringe rather than with it, after messing around with it a bit more. I really just when
I made my 1.0 character I didn't spend that much time on the look. I thought of the odd
colored eyes might look nice but now it just looks weird. Thankfully we do now have the
option to change it all. Again not so bothered about the jaw it doesn't really make any difference.
I'm just checking the options. Eye shape, number 1. I'm going to change these colors
because I just don't like this. I will make it a little bit more sensible. I still feel
that something is wrong. I'm trying to work it out.Maybe it's the face. Let me go back
to that. I'm really taking my time on this because I only have one chance to do this.
Later on, I might be given another opportunity but I just want to make sure I do it right
before Iog in. This is what it's like when you have certain level of care and nostalgia,
whatever word you want to put for it, for recreating your character. We are now moving
into a brand new game. The old game is now dead and gone and we are now going into the
new world. There you go, she's starting to take shape now. Right, so, I think that was
what was confusing me a bit, was that her eye brows were a bit too thick. It's not now.
There she is. There's my Mithrie. Confirm. As I said just one last chance to make sure
you're completely happy with your character, so let's take a look. Now that to me is absolutely
awesome. I can't wait to be running around looking like this in the game. It will be
a bit of work but we'll get there. What you can now do in the game is to move up and down,
you hold down the middle mouse button, so you're scroll, if you can click it down, and
you pull it up and down like this to go up and down. So we're ready to go. OK confirm.
