Lynne Craven: When I was first diagnosed with MS, I didn't know that -- how to be well.
I didn't know that I could be well. Since I've learned about self-management, and I've
learnt some skills, and I've got increased confidence in managing, I know that I can
live with MS and still be healthy and well. And being an active self-manager means that
the NHS gains, because I don't cost as much money. I gain because my outcomes are better;
I get better health outcomes and I feel in control, and I know that I can be healthy
with a long-term condition.
