Hello my friends, I'm Professor Hans Von Puppet, here today for Tequila Crack!
Deemed as one of the top Tequilas in the market by Aficionados, Tequila Fotaleza
has also been referred to as Tequila Crack.
Why the crack reference? Well, Fortaleza, or Los Abuelos as it's called in
Mexico, is one of the
last few Tequila brands that is produced
using century old traditional methods. The lowland Agave is slow cooked in a
brick oven,
the juices extracted
via tahona, or stone mill and then naturally fermented in wooden vats and
double distilled in copper pot stills.
The juice is quite addictive and makes your mouth water for more. Oh!
I'm thirsty. Brand owner Guillermo Erickson Sauza is the fifth generation
tequila producer from the family of Sauza in Mexico. He obviously knows
how to produce a damn fine Tequila. Think of Fortaleza as grandma's apple pie, ahhhh,
remember that flaky homemade crust, the perfectly ripened apples, all cooked
to perfection? Grandma did everything from scratch, she took her time, and she didn't
cut any corners. Of course pie is round it has no corners.
This is Fortaleza, small batch, unrushed Bliss, in a hand-blown traditional bottle. Fortaleza
Blanco, Reposado, and AƱejo recently won "Best of the Best" medals
in the 2012 TEQUILA.net Awards. A rare feat in such a large
competition I'm telling you.
So pour some Fortaleza and raise your glass my friends, here's to Guillermo for
producing spectacular juice! Cheers from TEQUILA.net!
Oh, I almost forgot, a special shout-out to Khrys
Maxwell... ROCK!
