Hi everybody! Streamer speaking! As always, it's a pleasure to be with you again!
Mmm... wait a second!!! Cosmos' lovers!
Sorry to interrupt, but I've been uneasy since the last video...
the fact that Streamer broke his headphones due to my fault mortifies me...
so to mend up I have threatened the headphone's company to send me a new pair for you. And I have succeeded!!
So please accept such a present, with which I hope I will no longer be banished in your programs!..
and let it be the beginning of a great friendship.
Wow! trying, trying, 1, 2, 3!
This is a match point, totally unexpected, Mr Punset! You can stay, but be quiet!
And now, with a new pair of headphones... let's get started!!
Hi again youtubers!! It's me! Streamer!
Some of you requested more videos about Mods.
So today, and as a proof that I listen to you, we'll examine not a single Mod, but a pair of them.
And what a pair! As you can see, they fit and mix perfectly.
They are the Super Mario Mod (no further explanations needed here) together with the 2d craft Mod
so that the Minecraft's world becomes flat.
Which is wonderful for a platforms' game like Mario.
So, today we'll wear a plumber jumpsuit, hop over Koopas and Goombas and rescue the princess.
And, while we are waiting for the Wii-U, Nintendo's new games console, this is a wonderful way to let the time go by. So let's play with the Mario Craft.
This is the scenario that I have prepared for you thanks to the Mods that I mentioned before.
It's a recreation of the Super Mario levels with a Redstone machinery in its back so that the enemies, the coins and all the Mario stuff can make their appearance as usual.
Let's wait no more and let's start playing with Mario Craft. As you can see, you immediately get the Nintendo vibe.
And what's more, you can enjoy the two new views that are introduced by the 2d Craft Mod,
Press "F5" key and you'll get not only the frontal and the rear views, but also the lateral and the aerial ones, as you can see in this video.
The second best fact are the almost flat worlds, only two cubes wide, which is an extra option provided by the 2d Craft Mod in the option "creating worlds".
So these are the novelties introduced by the 2d Craft Mod. All the other features are due to the Super Mario Mod, that you are gonna love if you ever enjoyed playing Mario.
Besides, it brings to Minecraft most of the blocks of the game "super Mario bros" which will allow you to recreate pretty accurately the game levels, as you can see.
Have you noticed? Mario is jumping way higher than what's usual in Minecraft
thanks to the magic of Nintendo or, in fact, thanks to the official plumber jumpsuit, with superpowers.
Maybe we should analyse it, as the CSI guys would do.
It is made of four pieces, like all the Minecraft armours, and each piece provides Mario with a special ability.
The first piece is, obviously, the cap, which he, apparently, was born. They say it is sticked to his head.
It allows him to headbutt any kind of block. You can craft it with five cubes of white wool.
Now let's take a look to the flying cape.
You'll fly like a bird with eight feathers.
As for the trousers, that give strength and vigour to Mario's legs, and allow him to jump so high and to escape unharmed,
you can craft this luxury item with seven blocks of lapis lazuli.
And, as a final and inevitable touch, Mario wouldn't be the one we know if he wasn't able to smash his enemies. So, let's craft his obsidian boots.
As you can see, the Super Mario Mod includes some characters from Super Mario game.
Super Mario Mod brings to Minecraft three new Mods, which are the Goombas, the Koopas and the Boo's which will spawn along the Minecraft world together with the other Mods.
The Gumbas are gigantic, brown mushrooms, able to walk: If you kill them, you'll get their fangs.
With four fangs you'll get an ivory piece, which will help you a lot to craft any kind of tool.
Ivory is a great material, with a long life full of possibilities.
Speaking about tools, let's not forget Mario's hammer, that will allow you to remove the Mod's blocks.
Let me remind you that this hammer makes its first appearance at the Super Mario Bros 3.
Let's talk about our next enemy: the Koopas, turtles able to walk.
As you can see they look pretty bad in this Mod.
Actually, any similarity between this subject and how a real Koopa should look like is a mere coincidence, since they resemble Maya the Bee or our dear Nessie.
When you kill a Koopa do not forget to keep its shell. You can craft a whole set of armour with it.
Or throw it and get a nice explosion, as you would do in a real Mario game.
And, finally, the last Mob, the Boo's, those pretty little ghosts so well known for the Mario lovers.
Other Mario essentials are the coins, the mushrooms and the invincibility star, with its classical tone.
You shall find three kinds of coins: yellow, red and blue.
Make up your mind Mario, it's not that difficult! The red or the blue?
Mmmm... I'm afraid this is not the case... but it was a nice try.
You can get the yellow coins either by melting a gold ingot or by kicking a box with a question mark in it.
You can craft a red coin with five yellow ones. And you can craft a blue coin with four red coins. Do not forget that a blue coin is equal to 20 yellow ones.
The main aim of this game is to collect five blue coins, so that we can craft a green mushroom, which will give us all our lives back.
You can also craft this amazing creature with eight normal Minecraft red mushrooms and a slime ball in the middle.
If you replace the ball with an iron ingot you'll get a red mushroom, that will give you back five hearts of your life.
And finally, let me tell you that you can craft the invincibility star with four gold ingots and a diamond in the middle.
A wonderful jewel that will give you 30 seconds of invincibility.
In the video description you'll find a link that will allow you to download this map.
It includes some platforms and some investigation stuff, since I have hidden some chests between the clouds and in the aquatic zone.
I hope you have a great time searching them!
But beware, do not open the map before installing the Mods or it will go off.
Don't worry, at the end of this video I'll explain you how to install correctly both of them, and don't panic, it's not as tricky as the Flan's Mod was.
Ok, we have seen almost everything of this Mod, now it's time to talk about some other items,
and also to explain how to craft blocks so that you can create your own Super Mario's scenarios.
For this, let's begin with three materials, the smooth stone, the wood and the brick.
With nine smooth stone blocks we'll get eight ground blocks.
With nine wood blocks we'll get 4 decoration blocks.
And with four bricks we'll get 16 brick blocks.
Now have a look at this three blocks (the decoration, the ground and the brick ones). If we burn them, we'll get their underground version,
so that we'll be able to create scenarios under the earth.
So let's get down to business! As you can see, by this we get the bluish green blocks that we all know.
If you want to build the castle that appears at the game's last stages you'll need to craft its blocks. How? Very easily, just burn an underground brick block and you'll get a castle brick block.
And with four of these you'll get a castle wall block.
To craft the underwater blocks you'll need eight ground blocks and a water bucket in the middle. This way you'll get eight underwater ground blocks.
If you want some aquatic plants, you can craft them with two sugar canes.
You cant craft the snow ground block with a ground block and a snow ball on top of it,
and you can get four clouds with four feathers.
Besides, if you want four ? blocks, craft them with four gold ingots.
Finally, and as the last crafting activity of this Mod, let's talk about three explosive items.
The fire flower, which you can craft with a water bucket, a yellow flower, three roses and two leaf blocks (any kind works).
The Bob-omb, for which you'll require four iron ingots and some powder in the middle.
And the Pow block, with which you can create earthquakes, that is made of six stone blocks and three iron ingots in the middle.
Let's have a try! Flowers go first! Wow! It throws fire balls!
Now, the Bob-ombs.
And finally, let's see how this wonderful weapon works against some Mobs.
Poor little pigs, they already know their fate.
However, let's see how it works. 3...2...1...
Wow! This baby is amazing!
And they say there's no violence in Mario!!
Now it's time to explain the Mods' installation process. As usual, if you follow carefully my instructions you shall have no problem at all.
First, download the Mods. Actually Minecraft's latest version is the 1.2.5 one, so we'll download the Mods elaborated for this version.
When the 1.3 Minecraft version comes to life, if it includes the required basis and compatibility for Mods, the installation process will be easier
and if it doesn't, you'll have to repeat what I'm going to explain you but with the Mods elaborated for the new version.
In the video description you'll find the links to the Mods official web pages.
Let's start downloading the Super Mario Mod. As you can see, the Super Mario Mod web page estates that "This Mod requires Modloader, Audiomod and ModloaderMP Client".
Click on the Modloader and the Audiomod links. This will lead us to this other web page where, if you look for it, you'll find the "download" link of the Modloader 1.2.5.
Click on download. Save file. Accept.
You can put it in any folder.
Further down you'll find the Audiomod.
This is not indispensable, but you'll need if you want to hear the typical Mario jingles when he picks some coins or becomes invincible.
Click on download. Save file. Accept.
Now let's go back to the Super Mario Mod web page and click on the ModloaderMP Client link, that we'll lead us to this other website and download it from here
Click on the first link, wait until the five seconds advertisements disappear. Click on Skip advertisements and download it.
Finally, let's download the Super Mario Mod, wait until the five seconds advertisements disappear. Click on Skip advertisements and download it.
As for the 2Dcraft Mod, this is its official website.
It's very easy, just look for the link of the current version, the Minecraft 1.2.5 one and download it.
Click on it and download it in your hard disk. So easy!
Now that we have downloaded these five files, let's unzip them. You can use any software. I'm doing it with the Winrar.
Unzip them all...
...and then go to the Minecraft's Installation folder (you can find it here: %appdata%/.minecraft)
Once there, click on the bin folder, where you'll find the minecraft.jar and open it with your decompressor software.
As I said before, I use the Winrar. If you do it you'll see a new window, one with all the minecraft.jar files.
If you have a Minecraft version with Mods already installed that might be incompatible with the Super Mario one...
follow my advice... DO NOT DELETE THE SAVES FOLDER but delete the other ones and execute the Minecraft
This way you'll get an unblemished Minecraft version, where you'll be able to install this Mod with no problems at all.
Let's go on, here we have the minecraft.jar window displayed. Now we go to the folder in which we have previously downloaded the Mods.
Go to the Modloader folder and copy all of its unzipped files.
Paste them to the minecraft.jar window. Click on "Accept"
And the same goes for the ModloaderMP and the Audiomod.
And now, pay attention!! Delete the META INF folder. If you skip this step, Minecraft won't work properly.
Now that we have established the Mods foundation, let's run our minecraft
You only need to go in an out to create the Mods folder in the Minecraft's installation route.
See? The mods folder has just appeared!
It's time to install the 2dcraft and the Super Mario mod.
The 2dcraft one goes first. Just repeat what we have done before.
Drag the files into the minecraft.jar.
Be specially careful with the Super Mario Mod since it contains two subfolders: one named minecraft and the other one resources.
Open the Minecraft subfolder in the first place. Copy all its files and paste them into the minecraft.jar window. I'm sure you can do it!
As for the resources subfolder, copy it, go back to %appdata%/.minecraft and paste it over there.
And you have done it!! Both mods have been correctly installed!!
Now you can run the Minecraft and, if you have followed my instructions carefully, everything should be OK.
Let's see if it works...
Click on single player...
Click on Create a New World...
Click on more world options...
Here an extra option should appear: World Type: 2D WORLD. Click on Done. And Click again on Create a New World.
Awesome!
Let's create a world in the Creative Mode to make sure that we have all the Super Mario blocks.
And if we do.... WE ROCK!!
Wonderful! See them?
After all this stuff let me say that I'm looking for some amazing modder able to create a Sega Mod, to make things even.
Wouldn't be wrong, don't you think?
Sonic: WTF?? Square loopings?? Are you kidding man??
mmmm... it may not be a great idea after all.
If you enjoyed it, do not hesitate! Click on "like" and get subscribed! Have a great time and see you soon!!
