Hello everyone. I am Gredwitch and I am very happy to tell you that I found
a way to use Source Filmmaker on Macs. I also have to say that all the links are
in the description.
Let's get started! Firstly we are going to download Wine Bottler.
Go to the official wine bottle a website and click on the download link.
When the download is finished,
click on the dmg file and drag Wine.app to your Applications folder.
Next, go to Google Drive.
Download everything inside the TF and SFM foulders. This will take a lot
of time unless you have a fast internet connection.
After you downloaded the Zips, go to the official Steam website.
Click on "Install Steam" and click on "Windows" and the download will start.
After that tiny download, launch that .exe using Wine. A pop-up will tell you that wine is an
application downloaded tough internet. Click on open and another pop-up will tell
you about the creation of Wine files is in progress. Now, install steam
for Windows check the checkbox "Launch Steam" After the installation of Steam,
130 megabits update will begun and, again, the times depends
of your connection speed.
After that download, enter your Steam informations and login.
Now go to the Finder and get all the files you've downloaded and put it in "/Users/
(Yourusername)/Wine Files/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps".
Create a folder and call it "common" and create a subfolder and call it "Sourcefilmmaker".
Now, extract the "game" and the "_CommonRedists" Zips. Go to the "game"
folder and extract the "TF" and "HL2" Zips, then, go to the "TF" folder and extract
the "maps", "materials", "models" and "sound" Zips.
Here is the final step: go in Steam for Windows and click on "Add a game..." and click on "Add a Non-Steam game"
Then, go to "Program files/Steam/steammaps/common/SourceFilmmaker/game"
Select "sfm.exe" and click on open.
Now you can use Source Filmmaker on Macs. Thank you so much for watching my video. Check also out my
Steam guide formore explanations. I will try to answer to all the comments.
