The lame, the blind, the cop and the thief: HILARIOUS!
I woke up with the following dream the night on August 15th, 2014
The lame and the blind organized to stop a thief who always managed to get away from
the police every time he steals something and they try to arrest him: he just runs away
from the cop and comes running through the neighborhood of the lame and the blind who
would just watch and hear him escape all the time: the lame seating on the ground would
just watch the thief running and getting away on one side. The blind on the other side without
sight would simply hear the noise of the thief escaping from the police running by in front
of them. There was nothing they could do. But one day the blind and the lame organized
to stop the criminal: the lame sat on the ground at his usual spot outside and the blind
got on a stool on the wall with a bat and waited. Shortly after, here comes the thief
again escaping from the police as usual, borrowing the street of the disabled guys. And when
thief got close enough to the blind the lame yelled out, "He is here!" And the blind at
his new post on the wall swung his bat and "wham" knocked the thief out, hitting him
straight in the face. And here comes the police man, “Did you see him? Did you see the thief
escaping this way?” he asked. "Yeah, there he is!” the lame said pointing at the thief
lying on the ground. “You won't see him again" the blind added. End of story.
The message is very simple and is symbolic. The Lord is certainly not asking you and I
to go stand in the streets with bats and guns to stop the evil doers.
Our weapon, the Bible says is the word of God. Evil is all around us: in our community,
in our families, at our work place and in the streets, on the internet one single click
away. And if we don’t use the word of God to fight it, it will pass us by, it will grow
and breed and over take us. See, it’s time we all do our parts and get
the job done using the undiluted word of God, filled by the power of the Holy Spirit and
to the glory of God the Father, the LORD Jesus Christ who lives forever and ever.
1 Corinthians 12:20-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to
the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need
of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow
greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable
parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which
lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have
the same care for one another. A message from the LORD!
