TeleNav started with four key founders,
one of them being the inventor of GPS and we are now over a thousand people.
Our flagship product is what we call the Telenav GPS Navigator in various forms.
It is AT&T Navigator.
It is Sprint Navigation.
We are TN GPS on T Mobile.
We have our TeleNav track product which is really aimed at enterprises.
The technology here at TeleNav is really cutting edge.
We are in mobile business which right now is really the trend and
also we are providing the location based service that also is the leading technology.
The management really encourage us to constantly think about
what we can do to improve over all company product.
You think I do a lot of my work at a computer but honestly a lot of the work is done at a whiteboard.
Is done with a bunch of people sitting around talking about an idea,
sketching out how they might go about solving it.
The best product comes out of collaboration.
At TeleNav we have what we call an all hands meeting.
We go through what is going on in the company, what is going on in the market.
The executives present and let us understand what some of our future endeavors are.
TeleNav really has been sort of in the automotive business only a few years.
We are the navigation partner for Ford, globally.
It was a very intelligent move for TeleNav to take what we learned from a
mobile perspective and take advantage of the growing opportunity within the vehicle.
TeleNav is a fun company.
And the management really encourages us.
You work very hard but at the same time you need to relax, you need to play hard.
We have relationships with all the major carriers in the US.
A number of international mobile carriers.
Mexico, China, Brazil, Europe.
Those auto and mobile manufacturers are selling product in the 200+ countries around the world.
I think it is great if you build a product that is actually delivered elsewhere but more importantly,
whether it be in China or Europe there are growth opportunities to work abroad for TeleNav.
We have our tendency to hang our titles at the door and
we come into a room that it is all about an open discussion.
Great ideas come from everywhere.
And if you don’t recognize that we might miss that critical point.
We are looking for people that understand how users think and
how users use mobile to improve their lives.
We want to create applications and products that users can open every day
to make a better decision about where to go, where to eat.
